A brand new concept in creative framing has now been launched by Kingfisher Mouldings. Colourmatch mouldings have been designed specially to match frequently used colours in the Colourmount range and are all available exclusively from Kingfisher Mouldings in Ely.

Kingfisher Mouldings has supplied galleries and bespoke framers in East Anglia and the surrounding area since 1977, and has been a Colourmount stockist and distributor since 1982. Kingfisher's owner, Roger Turner, developed the concept of Colourmatch in response to customer demand and chose Colourmount board to match as it is the first choice of his large customer base.
The mouldings are all hand-finished on an obeche base and the range currently includes a selection of eleven basic colours, mainly in pastel shades. Other colours will be added by request or recommendation and the option exists for customers to commission bespoke colours as required, but Kingfisher are confident that the basic range will satisfy most customer requirements.
These mouldings are available immediately in four standard profiles -MK01, MK03, MK04 and MK05 and, to make life easy for stockists and framers alike, the reference number on the Colourmatch mouldings corresponds with the relevant Colourmount reference number, both for neutral pH standard board and 300 series acid-free. This simple device allows framers to ensure at a glance that the moulding will exactly match their chosen board.
The examples shown, of subjects framed using Colourmatch mouldings alongside Colourmount board, have been prepared by award-winning framer, Graham Carter of Mildenhall, near Newmarket. Graham is one of only three British framers ever to win the coveted SACA exhibition award and has done a super job in demonstrating the effectiveness of the new Colourmatch series, particularly with the use of double mounts and painted bevels.
