New Colourmount foam board now available nationwide

The new foam board created especially for Colourmount by the leading manufacturer Bienfang is now available to buy from all major stockists and distributors.

Colourmount foam board has been designed to make life easier for picture framers, for example, it is exactly the same size as the standard Colourmount mount board, at 815 x 1125mm. So it can easily be cut to match the mount board without any recalculation or wastage.
One of the main concerns when developing this new Colourmount foam board was ease of use. The creators, Bienfang, have many years' experience of manufacturing foam board for sale throughout the world, for framing as well as many other markets. This experience has led to a foam board which is easy to cut, with standard cutting equipment or even a hand-held scalpel, and which resists damage from crushing or denting. The resilient CFC-free, polystyrene centre is light in weight and easy to handle, making this foam board ideal as a backing board or for box framing and other construction uses.
You can buy Colourmount foam board in a choice of two thicknesses, 3.5mm or 5mm. Each board has a high quality, gloss white, clay-coated, neutral pH surface on each side, making it also ideal for dry-mounting or laminating without show-through.
Elsewhere in this issue you will find Pete Bingham's account of how to make a slope-sided box mount from Colourmount foam board - just one of many possible uses for this versatile new board. We would be delighted to hear of any more ways in which you have used Colourmount foam board - if you send us the details with a nice clear photograph, we will feature the most unusual and interesting applications in future issues of In The Frame.
