Come out of the shadows with Educraft silhouettes
Children all over the country will enjoy the new silhouettes from the Educraft range. With silhouettes of teddies, modes of transport, farm animals and prehistoric animals, the range is set to inspire teachers and children alike.

The silhouettes are produced from Colourcard, which is stiff enough tobe used for pop ups as well as poster borders and other craft uses. The card is black on one side, creating a sharp silhouette against a brighter background, but white on the other, allowing children to colour them in.

The four styles in the range are available in rolls, each of 10m, from all good educational stockists.

Colourmount now sold in packs
of 10
From January 2002, Colourmount boards will be packed in 10s rather than the traditional packs of five. This will apply to all board sizes with the exception of Jumbo, which will continue to be packed in 5s.

The change is being phased in over the winter as a result of new packing machinery being introduced at Lowerhouse Mills. The state of the art machine is designed to handle more than 3000 boards per hour and will greatly improve efficiency.

John Booth, Slater Harrison’s Works Manager, says, “As sales of Colourmount continue to rise, we must maintain careful handling of the boards to prevent marking whilst packing at speed to keep up with production. The new machine will achieve both these aims, helping us to keep framing customers satisfied.”

Centura Pearl wins gold, silver and bronze

For luxury foods and expensive gifts, metallic packaging is very popular. But have you ever noticed that within a very short time, your beautiful gold or silver box is looking rather less lovely?

The reason for this is that all traditional metallic coatings contain Oactual metals - copper zinc alloy in both gold and copper finishes, and aluminium in silver finishes. These metals react badly when handled, causing either tarnishing or marking through anodising.

With Centura Pearl, you do not need to worry about these problems.
Or indeed, any other problems associated with metallic pigments. Centura Pearl will not tarnish, can be written on with any type of ink and will take all forms of print. You can stick your stamps to it, put your food in it (yes, it’s food grade) and even microwave it. What a winner!
