Welcome to Slater Harrison

Over 75 Years of Experience in Paper & Board

When Slater Harrison was formed in 1929, the company specialised in making ‘paste boards’ for hand painted window bills.  Now 75 years later the display board market is still an important part of our portfolio.

Slater Harrison has grown and diversified into many new and dynamic market and product areas which include ink jet, self adhesive and synthetic coating.

The company specialises in laminating and coating paper, card and board and produces products such as Centura Pearl®, Colourmount®, Inglevale® Display Board, Educraft® and probably the best known Day Glo®.

The newest of these, Centura Pearl® is proving to be one of our most successful products.  A pearlescent coating can be applied to any paper, board or synthetic material.  Unlike traditional metallic finishes it does not contain any real metal pigments and therefore will not tarnish or finger mark and can be printed using conventional printing inks.  These two advantages make it an ideal product for many areas including envelope manufacture, greetings cards, gift –wrap, designer packaging and the increasingly popular hobbycraft hand made card market.  Available in 30 stock colours in various formats.  Continually striving to enhance and update their product range, Slater Harrison are pleased to announce the introduction of their new ‘Designer Collection’ of embossed paper and card.  Bespoke colour matching, two side coating and embossing are also available on request.

The Educraft® range includes many products sold predominately into the education market.  With our many on-site facilities, we are in a position to constantly up-date and modernise the extensive colour and product range available.

Colourmount® along with Inglevale® Display Board are the mainstay of our laminated products.  Colourmount® is sold predominately into the picture framing market with smaller sizes available for the graphics and art & craft outlets.  Inglevale® Display Board is primarily used by the screen printing industry.  Available from stock or specially made to customers own size and thickness.

Ongoing development, purchase and upgrading of machinery are always a high priority.  Recent additions include automated wrapping machinery, flexo press, embossing machines and synthetic substrate coating plant.

The company’s main strength comes from its flexibility and ability to cater to customers own requirements.  For a reasonable minimum order, customers own colours can be matched, coated or laminated then converted to sheets, rolls, or jumbo reels.
