Keeping you in the picture

One of the key aims of the LS Dixon Group is to stay at the forefront of innovation in all the markets in which it operates. This year has seen both Slater Harrison and Webmaster succeed in this aim in their respective fields, whilst building turnover and profit on all existing product lines.

Centura Pearl continues to be the focus of attention at Slater Harrison, with customers in every market now developing uses for this great product. As the leading UK manufacturer of pearlescent coatings, we are in an ideal position to capitalise on worldwide demand, offering unique advantages to end users and a profitable new line to merchants and printers.

At Webmaster, the focus is on the development of products for untapped markets, as well as the introduction of new finishes on existing label stock for customers looking for something new.

Another exciting new development for this year is the joint venture we are undertaking with Tullis Russell, with whom we already have a successful alliance. Read more about it on page 3.

In The Frame is designed to make sure none of our customers misses out on a new product or idea that could benefit their business. If you would like more information on anything featured here, please contact us.

You've got to hand it to Centura Pearl

With sales of Centura Pearl increasing daily as the applications for which it can be used grow ever more interesting, Slater Harrison has responded to demand by adding a further ten colours to the range.

In line with fashion predictions for the next year, the new colours are stunning yet subtle, with pastel greens and soft pinks the order of the day. Slater Harrison has spent some considerable time and effort to find the right colours for the Centura Pearl range, employing consultants andresearching its customers to ensure a market for the range. Lynda Braddock, Sales Manager for Slater Harrison, is quick to point out the benefits of the extended range: “The colours we have chosen not only reflect fashion trends, but are also designed specially for the markets in which we are strong, such as decorative packaging. This allows greetings card manufacturers to match Centura Pearl envelopes to any type or style of greetings card on sale, for example.” For some customers, the company has also developed bespoke colours for particular applications. Providing the quantities are high enough, the colour department at Slater Harrison will work with a customer on a new product or packaging idea which requires a special look. Lynda says, “Sometimes we are asked to match a house colour or a specific Pantone® reference to fit in with other items in a customer’s range. With Centura Pearl, this is not only possible, but very effective without being too expensive for customers to consider.”
